We are the sole owner of the information collected on this site and through the course of regular business operations. When you request information or content from us and supply information or content that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you, you agree to share that information with us, our agents, representatives, and affiliates. We only collect or have access to information that you voluntarily give us via our website, email, or telephone and related tools, including sources, both open to the public and requiring membership (e.g., marketing or translation organizations). We will not sell, loan, or rent this information to anyone.
For readers and clients, we request information from you on our online portal, through email or related tools. To order any of our services, you must provide contact information (i.e., name and email) and in certain, specific situations, possibly financial information (i.e., billing address, etc.). This information, if needed, would be used for billing purposes and to process your service orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.
We may use your personal information to correspond to you regarding your order, or the services we provide. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization or with any other users of our services. All associates and trusted parties of ours who assist in operating our business and services have standard Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to keep all service data confidential.
For vendors, we request information from you through email or related tools in order for us to work together, and for payments to be made for services rendered. To work with or for us in any capacity, you must provide contact information (i.e., name and email) and possibly some financial information (i.e., billing address, PayPal address, Banking information for wire or ACH transfers, and in some cases, required government documents, etc.). This information is used for invoicing purposes and to process our service orders. If we have trouble processing an invoice, we’ll use this information to contact you.
We will also use this contact information to interact with you regarding the delivery of the services or product for which we have engaged you.
Some other instances where we may also release your information would be when we have to comply with the law, enforce our website/business policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety, as well as when the information is pursuant to court orders or law enforcement request (i.e., search warrant, subpoena, court order, discovery request). Otherwise, personally identifiable visitor, client or vendor information will not be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Additionally, we will never disclose any personally identifiable or financial information related to payment activities.
Our cookies may be session cookies (temporary cookies that identify and track users within our website that are deleted when you close your browser or leave your session in the application or service). Alternatively, they may be persistent cookies (cookies which enable our website to remember who you are and your preferences within our website, including those that will stay on your computer or device after you close your browser or leave your session in the application or service).
We use the following different types of cookies:
Strictly necessary cookies
These are needed for our websites, applications or services to function correctly. For example, these cookies allow you to securely send a quote request.
Performance cookies and analytics technologies
These collect information about how users navigate our websites, applications, and services, for instance, which functionality visitors use most often. They do not receive information that identifies a visitor or user. Since we only use these cookies to improve how our website and services work, all information collected is anonymous.
IP Address and traffic data
We keep a record of traffic data, which is logged automatically by our servers, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and device information. We also collect some site statistics such as access rates, page hits, and page views. We are not able to identify any individual from traffic data or site statistics.
To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites visit: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How to disable cookies
You may be able to configure your browser or our website, application or service to restrict cookies or block all cookies if you wish, however, if you disable cookies you may find this affects your ability to use certain parts of our website or services. You can find more information about cookies and instructions on how to adjust your browser settings to accept, delete or reject cookies at the www.allaboutcookies.org website.
You may choose to use our website without entering any personally identifiable information, but many of the services will not be available.
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, all work we create is kept in a secure location for at least five years, in some cases longer, especially as required by law. Purges of old work occur as needed, and any or all documents related to a project or service may be destroyed or erased eventually. We purge as often as necessary since clients frequently return for reprints or to update previous projects.
When you submit information via our website, it is protected both online and offline. All financial information is processed and secured by third parties: PayPal, Intuit or various banks, through their secure servers. We receive only notification that a certain dollar amount has been collected or sent, and we match that notification with our invoices or bills manually. The only sensitive financial information we keep is vendor specific—that which is required by law (TINs and W-9s as needed) and that which is needed to pay invoices if necessary (such Banking, PayPal or Western Union data, depending on the vendor).
In addition to security information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only associates who need access to personally identifiable information are granted it. Our servers and databases that process and store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
